In a time when the measure of the academic yardstick looms heavily over most school communities, safe, secure and peaceful schools where students can go about the business of learning are a critical step toward effectiveness and success. The consequences of unchecked bullying for the bully, target(s) of bullying and the surrounding school community are well-documented.

This interactive training will journey through the world and phenomenon of school bullying. The session will highlight cyber bullying. An emphasis will be placed on situational prevention.

This workshop will be led by Hilda Quiroz-Graham, Keynote Presenter, Program Developer and Training Specialist for the National School Safety Center. Ms. Quiroz-Graham has written numerous books, articles and training designs about bullying, hate-bias crimes, school safety, team building and cultural issues. Having teaching experience in both public school and community settings, she serves as consultant trainer for schools, communities and law enforcement agencies. Hilda has received special congressional recognition for her work in the community regarding bullying prevention.
